Serving in the altar is a great and Holy privilege. Acolytes are an integral part of the venerable Liturgical traditions of the Church. With the Priest’s blessing, all Orthodox young men and/or boys 10 years and older are invited to participate in the sacred privilege of serving in the altar. Altar boys must have a teachable spirit, demonstrate respect for liturgical tradition and commit to serving consistently. If your son is interested in participating in this formational year-round ministry, please contact Pete Metropoulos at email@example.com and click HERE to download and print a ministry registration form.

The life of the Orthodox Church perpetuates and fulfills the ministry of Jesus Christ. The close association between Christ and His Church is reflected in the images from the Scriptures which declare that Christ is the Head and the Church is His Body, and that Christ is the Bridegroom and the Church is His bride.
