Annual Senior Synaxis Picnic, August 2024
Senior Synaxis is a ministry "for the young at heart" that includes social, cultural and religious activities bringing our "Senior" Stewards of the Ascension of Our Lord Church together in Orthodox Christian Fellowship. The group meets monthly for various activities and outings, which are arranged by our special event coordinators.
Our thanks to our founders and Past President, Dee Christ, and her late husband Christ, for their dedication in making this ministry a success for the senior group. Also, we extend our gratitude to past presidents Mary Kokinis and her late husband, John; and, to our late friend, Elaine Beck, who planned many of our wonderful outings over the past several years.

SENIOR SYNAXIS THANKS THE HELLENIC FOUNDATION
Senior Synaxis members thank the Hellenic Foundation, on behalf of Fr. Sotiri and our Ascension Parish, for funding bus travel expenses for their group outings through the Foundation’s Golden Circle Program! The Hellenic Foundation developed the Golden Circle program to encourage socialization and fellowship among seniors, especially in the post-pandemic environment. We are grateful to the Foundation for supporting our wonderful fellowship opportunities.
